The Role

We are looking for a talented Lead Development Representative who will be responsible for targeting individuals and companies (leads) who may have a commercial opportunity to use Boundless products, services and support.  A Boundless Lead Development Representative (LDR) is instrumental in developing marketing leads and helping identify possible sales opportunities for the Boundless sales team. Boundless products deliver enormous value and ROI and as such, this is a business-to-business sales environment that requires positioning a technology solution to both IT and non-IT stakeholders. This is not a product sales role, it is a lead discovery and persona qualification role. The role focuses on identifying a fundamental interest in Boundless solutions with targeted leads, while conducting information-gathering to help pre-qualify new opportunities for the sales organization.  

Candidates need to reside in or near Austin, Texas.

This means you can speak and write in a professional manner consistent with B2B selling.  You are able to leverage your communications skills to create interest, overcome objections and identify potential business opportunities that are a fit for Boundless. You are able to shift gears quickly, you are hungry for knowledge and you take pride in your work.  You are also technically curious and want to understand the value and potential of Boundless solutions. What We Need You To Do

Your primary job responsibility is to engage in a structured outreach effort using email and telephone to make contact with leads supplied to you by Boundless marketing, or generated by you from industry-targeted outreach.  You will use your prior experience as an LDR or BDR to be effective in this role.

The sole measurement of success in this role is your ability to secure large numbers of qualified discovery meetings between prospects and Boundless sales team members.  Your goals and compensation will be based on the successful achievement of this goal.

Other Responsibilities Include:

-  Learn from material we provide you about our buyer personas, what they care about and how to quickly engage them in a conversation.  

-  Interact with IT and business decision-makers via telephone and email.

-  Effectively document 100% of your activities in SalesForce and other lead development tools we use in our business, in real time.

Skills Needed For You to Excel

-  Minimum 2 years of successful experience in a similar lead development role in the technology sector with verifiable income and references (no exceptions).

-  Prior experience with geospatial or a degree in geo-related sciences is a big plus, but your orientation needs to be more towards sales and customer development and not technology utilization and implementation.

-  You must like talking on the phone and appreciate that a live conversation is far more valuable than an email exchange when identifying interest and connecting with a new prospect.

-  Be a self-starter and able to organize your workday in such a manner as to maintain a deliberate work pace void of distractions in order to achieve your goals.

-  Be focused and goal-oriented so that you can manage and achieve your weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals and well-defined work objectives.

-  Take specific guidance from sales and marketing leadership and provide feedback on the successes and failures from your efforts.

-  Strong phone and email skills.

-  Strong listening and writing skills.

-  Proficient with common business productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office).

-  SalesForce.com experience required.

-  College degree or equivalent work experience.
